Love, Stargirl, by Jerry Spenelli. I am currently reading Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. Through a yearlong letter to her former boyfriend, Leo, Stargirl reflects on her experience at Mica High and her new life in Pennsylvania. I don't know why it took me so long to discover the Stargirl books, but I am so glad I did. Stargirl is in a new place, away from Leo, but he is still on her mind. Stargirl has moved away from Arizona to Pennsylvania. A Sequel in Letters Stargirl is back, in a different state, and is being homeschooled again. He can overlook the fact that she dresses in a very weird way and has a pet rat. Jerry Spinelli's books are awesome! This book is the much anticipated sequel to the New York Times bestselling book, Stargirl and centers around "the world's longest letter" in diary form. She's back to being homeschooled and misses the folks back in the desert. Jerry Spinelli deserves higher. Though (in my opinion) "Stargirl" is better than "Love, Stargirl", this book is still one of my favorites. Love, Stargirl picks up a year after Stargirl ends and reveals the new life of the beloved character who moved away so suddenly at the end of Stargirl. I've read Stargirl, Love, Stargirl, Maniac Magee, Eggs, Wringer, and Milkweed, and I like them all! When he starts to fall in love with Stargirl, Leo begins to wish that she would just be normal so that he doesn't have to be an outcast for dating her.
